Terms of Service

By downloading, accessing, or using Noren Notes ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The Decentralized Architecture & User Responsibility

Noren Notes operates on a "Bring Your Own Cloud" architecture. The App is a software vehicle that runs on your local device and, if authorized, connects to your personal Google Cloud/Drive account via OAuth.

Noren Systems LLC does not host, control, or own your data.
Because you store your notes and process your AI models locally on your device or via your private cloud account:

  • You are solely responsible for backing up your data.

  • You are solely responsible for the content you create, process, or store using the App.

  • Noren Systems LLC is not liable for data loss, data corruption, or unauthorized access to your local device or your Google account.

2. Noren Pro & Subscription Fees

Certain features of the App (e.g., cross-device sync, advanced cloud processing) require an active "Noren Pro" subscription, billed annually at $19.99 USD.

  • Payments are processed entirely through the Google Play Store.

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle.

  • Because payment is processed via Google Play, all refund requests must be handled in accordance with Google Play's refund policies. Noren Systems LLC does not issue direct refunds.

3. Third-Party Integrations (Google Cloud)

Noren Notes connects to Google APIs (including Google Drive and Vertex AI) to facilitate cross-device sync and advanced AI intelligence.

  • Your use of the App is also subject to the Google Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

  • Noren Systems LLC is not liable for any downtime, API changes, account suspensions, or service interruptions caused by Google or Google Cloud.

4. Intellectual Property

Noren Systems LLC owns all intellectual property rights associated with the Noren Engine, the App interface, its native bridging logic (including the Native Whisper FFI integration), and its proprietary routing systems (including the Infinite Margin OAuth Brokerage).

  • You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal or business purposes.

  • You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Noren Engine.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

Noren Notes is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive to provide a world-class system, Noren Systems LLC makes no guarantees regarding the continuous availability, speed, or absolute accuracy of the AI-generated transcriptions or summarizations. You use the AI outputs at your own risk.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Noren Systems LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of business revenue, or hardware failure.

7. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via release notes in the App store. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
